An Intro to The Mysteries of Ravenrock

It’s not camp, it’s survival.

Twelve-year-old Remy LeRoux would argue that she’s the very definition of a good kid. She gets good grades, visits her grandmother after school every day, and even runs her very own dog walking service. But when she makes one little mistake—okay, one pretty big mistake—her dad ships her off to Metamorphosis Wilderness Camp for Troubled Youths.

However, Remy and her fellow campers never make it to camp. The ferry shuttling them across Lake Michigan goes down in a storm, stranding the kids on the deserted island of Ravenrock. The kids quickly learn that something’s not quite right on the island. The abandoned lighthouse keeper's cottage is haunted. Someone has carved cryptic messages into stones. And there are an eerie lack of ravens on an island named Ravenrock. Not only does Remy have to learn to survive in the wilderness, but if she and the other campers want to return home, they must also solve the island’s mysteries.

Remy LeRoux's favorite quote is Shakespeare's "Though she be but little, she is fierce." She might have a small stature but that doesn't mean she's afraid to speak her mind or take charge.

Daisy Domingo is hostile and unfriendly, but once she warms up to you, she's a bit less hostile and unfriendly. However, she's a bit brilliant when it comes to solving whatever problems arise.

Sam Weston comes across as the boy next door, a literal Boy Scout. But he carries a dark secret with him.

Jordan Witter loves to tell everyone he meets that his dad is the heavyweight champion R.J. Witter and just how much more fabulous his life is than yours. However, there's a lot more to Jordan than just being the son of a famous boxer. He just needs to realize it.

Lennon Tate uses they/them pronouns. They are quirky and daring and perhaps the bravest kid on the island.

Emmy Kowal-Yang is a mean girl who thinks she's better than everyone else in camp. When she finally lets her guard down, she actually makes a pretty good friend.

Ian Becker is the youngest one at camp and also the tallest. He's awkward and geeky, and he tends to stutter when he's nervous, but he's also incredibly kind and incredibly knowledgeable.
