Down the Wishing Well was the first middle grade novel that I wrote, and I only wrote it because Kitsy and Teddy would not leave me alone. They were constantly in my head, talking, playing out scenes, demanding to be written. So that book and those characters are very dear to me. They not only changed the course of my career, but also brought me so much joy.
I picked up drawing as a hobby a little less than three months ago. I never thought I'd be able to draw my characters so soon, but here they are: Teddy, Kitsy, and Willis. I'm far from being an artist and I still need a lot of practice, but I'm proud of how far I've come in such a short time.
